Adventure Time c’mon grab your friends we’ve journeyed into distant lands, with Jake the dog and Finn the human this world is coming to an end in 2018. Over the past six years Pendleton Ward has created a colorful world full of characters and themes that go beyond a normal cartoon, and because of this Adventure Time has won several Emmys and Peabody awards.

Adventure Time changed the definition of what a kids’ TV series could be, and it’s had a resounding impact upon popular culture around the world. Cartoon Network Studios is proud to have brought together this group of brilliant artists and animators who helped make Adventure Time one of the most critically acclaimed TV series of a generation –Rob Sorcher chief content officer at Cartoon Network

The show follows a human boy named Finn who dreams of becoming the ultimate hero, and his magical dog named Jake who can stretch and grow in size, as they explore the world of “Ooo” and save its citizens from evil monsters, earth shattering extinction events, and the not so common battles of the meaning of life, happiness, sadness, friendship, and the many troubles with growing up. Many of us who have tuned into the show can see beyond its candy coated exterior to find the serious tones in Adventure Time, these are most prevalent when Ward goes into issues like family relationships, the battle between right and wrong, knowing when not to give up, and other topics rarely seen in light hearted cartoon series. We still have some time until Adventure Time ends but its sad to know that this incredibly creative show is coming to an end while The Simpsons is still on the air pumping out episodes that no one watches.
