Disney says it’s going to pull all of its movies from Netflix and launch its own streaming service. It will include exclusive content created just for the platform. The service will also be the only place viewers will be able to watch it’s upcoming releases like “Toy Story four” and “Frozen the Sequel”. Disney’s also launching a video streaming service for ESPN.
“Disney’s streaming plans call for the introduction early next year of a subscription service to be built around ESPN’s sports programming. It will be powered by BamTech, a technology company that handles direct-to-consumer video for baseball teams and HBO, among others.” – NY Times
What do you think of this move by the might Mouse? Is there a market for a Disney-Only streaming service? Keeping in mind that Disney is Marvel, Star Wars and ESPN. Let us know in the comments or drop us a line via social media.
