It would seem that J.J. Abrams has been a fan of Stephen King for a long time, so it was a no brainier when the famous director was asked to be an executive director on Hulu’s new eight-part miniseries based of the world famous author’s book. The story of 11.22.63 is about a teacher who travels back in time to stop the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. “This is a book that I had loved long before Stephen King reached out and asked if I’d be interested in getting involved to produce. We did go out to a number of places and had some offers, but the enthusiasm [at Hulu] was clear and it matched ours.” Abrams told members of the Television Critics Association.
11.22.63 premieres February 15 2016 on Hulu.
