Welcome to the news in this week of k-pop! Got a few stories for you; If you’re wondering why there’s no LOVELYZ in this one it’s because that controversy has its own article.
So first of all, the road manager of Ladies Code has been indicted for the cause of the fatal crash which killed EunB and Rise. Ms. Park, age 26, has been arrested. Ms. Park was speeding on the freeway despite how hard it was raining that day. She was quoted during the investigation saying this: “Because the speed seemed too fast, I had stepped on the brake, but the car slipped”. WOW REALLY?! THAT’S HOW CARS WORK? Mr. Park had said during the early police investigation that the cars’ back wheel had fallen off right before the accident. However, it’s been confirmed that the wheel fell off after the accident occurred.” The prosecution also revealed the information about the airbags in the vehicle. “The air bag was not deployed in the front seat, but this was because it was the side of the car that collided with the barrier, so we have determined that there was no fault with the cars’ airbag mechanism”. That might be another different lawsuit since the airbag didn’t deploy… I’m glad this fiend has been arrested; she is truly irresponsible with her prized k-pop clients.
So another new group already has controversy! The new group PRITZ is being called out on for dressing like Lolita Nazis on the stage. They dress in what seems to be a type of Japanese street fashion, called Lolita. They were a-line skirts wit ruffles, lace, and bows, and they wear dark colors like black since it’s gothic Lolita. That’s fine though. It’s the red armbands they are wearing that have a black x on them in a white circle, on the left arm. Their company stepped up and said this: “The thought [of the Nazi symbolism] never occurred” and that there was no intention of replicating Nazi uniforms.
The symbol PRITZ wears on their arm is supposed to represent the group’s hope and ambition, with the agency stating it was “to expand without a limit in four directions.” The talent agency is currently determining whether or not to change the group’s symbol. So the company justified what the symbol means, so it isn’t Nazi symbolism! By that argument, TOP in his “Dada doom” was being a Nazi because of the Hitler stache! Or, SHINee were Nazis in their”Everybody” video! I agree the similarity was poor choice at best but it don’t mean their Nazis! Some artists use propaganda-esque art in their concepts. The cover of Green day’s American idiot is Chinese communist propaganda art style; they saw it somewhere and told their cover artist about it and he connected that certain lyrics would bets be illustrated in this way. Green day did this in 2004 and Lovelyz can do it in 2014, OKAY? Here I’ll show some pictures below to show my point.
Let me know what you think below!
And remember. no hickies!
