The fictional land of Wakanda welcomes tv actor Winston Duke as he landed the role of M’Baku aka “Man-Ape” in the upcoming Marvel movie Black Panther, Duke is relatively new to the Hollywood scene as he recently graduated from the Yale School of Drama and went on to CBS Person of Interest.
M’Baku is one of Wakanda’s greatest warriors only second to T’Challa, the Black Panther himself, he draws his power from eating and bathing in legendary white ape flesh and blood. He possess superhuman strength, agility, stamina, speed and durability, almost like T’Challa.
My only concern is how they are going to tackle the portrayal of an African man in ape garbs calling himself Man-Ape, they managed to modernize the Black Panther costumer beautifully. I have no doubts that the film is in good hands with director Ryan Coogler at the helm as he showed us his ability to bring out the best in his actors via Creed, but this is Hollywood we are talking about, so i’ll reserve judgement until costume photos appear online. Winston Duke is in good hands here.
The Black Panther movie is slated for release in 2018
