PlayStation has revealed its beefier version of the PS4 console dubbed the “PlayStation 4 Pro” (leaving the original PS4 to be called the PS4 Noob), and with it, a new trailer for the Action RPG game Horizon Zero Dawn, which looks like a cross between The Elder Scrolls games, Tomb Raider, and Far Cry, with some stylish techno animals thrown in for good measure.
The PlayStation 4 Pro boasts an overclocked CPU, a boosted GPU, and 4K HDR graphics, and the Horizon Zero Dawn game play trailer has been released at 4K. If you do not have a 4K television or monitor, you can still grasp the sheer upgrade this hardware will bring to the console “war”. Xbox has yet to show their hand, but here we see PlayStation flexing its right arm while holding out the left for your money.
“Play as Aloy, a young hunter on a quest to discover her destiny among the remnants of the ancient past. Shunned by her own tribe since birth, Aloy has learned to harness her agility, cunning, and deadly aim to hunt the Machines, defend against rival tribes, and survive in the unforgiving wilds.”
“In a lush, post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization, pockets of humanity live on in primitive hunter-gatherer tribes. Their dominion over the new wilderness has been usurped by the Machines – fearsome mechanical creatures of unknown origin.”
Horizon Zero Dawn is set to release February 28th 2017
