Last week, Sony purchased four web domains in preparation for something. Many guessed that the domains implied potential titles for the upcoming Spider-Man films. Now we finally have our answer. The web crawlers next flick will be titled “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” the first of the domains Sony purchased! The announcement was made by Sony at the Las Vegas CinemaCon Tuesday night. Based on this title we can make an educated guess that the next film will indeed be following a Peter Parker pulled from his younger years instead of his more recent appearances centered on his adult life.
Marvel is certainly in it for the long haul with this one. Faithfully representing the popular hero so early in his career offers seemingly countless opportunities for the studio utilize his long list of story-lines over the years.
